A 17-YEAR-OLD boy from Long Melford has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault following a late-night brawl which saw a teenager taken to hospital.
Police were called to Great Cornard Football Club’s car park in Blackhouse Lane shortly after midnight on April 14 after reports of a disturbance involving a dozen youths.
Three teenagers were hurt in the fight and one was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment to a facial injury.
The football club is now facing a full review of its alcohol and entertainment licences, with a consultation currently under way to determine what nearby residents and businesses think about how the club is run.
The boy was questioned and released on police bail. He is due to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on July 1.
