School burglar admits guilt

A man has admitted stealing computer equipment from the Stour Valley Community School in Clare.

Alexander Hazel, 22, pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday. The court heard the break-in on August 23 resulted in six laptop computers used by pupils being stolen by Hazel.

A second man, Darren Oakley, 21, of Weir Place, Kirton, near Felixstowe, appeared at the same court hearing and pleaded guilty to an offence of handling stolen computers from the school on the same date.

Hazel, of St Mary’s Crescent, Felixstowe, and Oakley will be sentenced on June 3.
