TWO men charged with producing more than 1,000 cannabis plants at a factory in Sudbury will face trial next month.
Simon Hicks, of Sackers Green in Newton, and Gary Woodward, of Priory Road in Sudbury, appeared before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Both Hicks, 41, and Woodward, 44, are charged with being concerned in the production of 1,263 cannabis plants.
The charges follow the discovery of a large quantity of cannabis plants at an industrial unit in Addison Road, Sudbury, in June.
The plants were found in seven HGV containers when police executed a warrant at the premises.
Hicks and Woodward, who deny the charges, were committed for trial at Ipswich Crown Court on November 4.
