A scheme which sees volunteers patrolling the streets where they live to help cut crime and increase safety is appealing for extra funding.

Streetwatch, which is run in Sudbury, Great Cornard and Hadleigh, recently launched a website but requires support to maintain its progress.

“We only have limited funding so we need to secure sponsorship to help maintain and develop the site,” said web designer Kevin Polley, from the group.

It currently costs around £100 a month to keep the site, www.suffolkstreetwatch.co.uk, up to date and accessible to members and residents.
