POLICE are appealing for information after a man was attacked and robbed by three men in the early hours of the morning.
An 18-year-old man was walking along Maldon Way in Great Cornard at around 2.50am last Sunday, when he was approached by three men, one of whom asked for a cigarette.
He continued to walk up an alleyway next to a pub when the men pulled him to the ground and mugged him.
The man’s wallet, neckchain and mobile phone were all stolen in the attack, which left him unconscious.
He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds suffering soreness to his head and body.
The attackers are described as being of slim build and around 5ft 8in tall. They were all wearing dark-coloured hooded tops.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said: “Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the robbery or seen the men before or afterwards.”
Anyone with information should call DC Mark Robinson at West Suffolk CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
