Man denies knife attack

A Great Cornard man is to stand trial after pleading not guilty to a charge of wounding.

Luke Cornwall, 28, of Hawthorn Road, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, October 7.

He pleaded not guilty to wounding Christopher Greenage with intent on July 8.

Cornwall also pleaded not guilty to having an offensive weapon – a Stanley knife – in Gaol Lane, Sudbury, on the same date.

Judge David Goodin told Cornwall that his trial, which is expected to last for up to five days, will take place in November.

Cornwall has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
