A man was arrested after a teenager had to be airlifted to hospital on Saturday morning after getting trapped under a 4x4 vehicle.
Police were called to a field near Bower Hall in Pentlow at 12.30am following reports that a vehicle had left the road, rolled over and trapped a man underneath.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers arrived to find two men with injuries after it appeared the driver of a white Toyota Hilux had lost control of the vehicle.
“A 19-year-old man from Kent was airlifted to Ipswich Hospital after sustaining pelvic injuries and is currently in a stable condition. A 20-year-old man from the Sudbury area was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.”
He was released on police bail until November 19.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “Due to being trapped underneath the vehicle for a long period and having potential internal injuries, the man was airlifted by an RAF Sea King helicopter to Ipswich Hospital.”
