Man admits dog charge

A 32-YEAR-OLD man charged with having a dangerous dog in a public place has appeared in court.

Daniel Collis, formerly from Glemsford, is alleged to have been responsible for a dog which attacked a 65-year-old man outside the Stars and Jars store in the village on December 26.

On Tuesday, Collis appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge.

He was remanded on unconditional bail for pre-sentence reports and will return to court on May 17.
