Inquest opened into death of man, 21,

An inquest into the death of a 21-year-old former Sudbury Upper School pupil was opened and adjourned in Staffordshire on Thursday.

Matthew Campbell died after being hit by a train on a rail junction near City Road, Fenton, Staffordshire, on Monday, February 11, at 3.30pm.

His death is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Mr Campbell was studying film at Staffordshire University and leaves parents Becky and Mark, brother Harry and step-father Dave.

His funeral will take place at West Suffolk Crematorium on Thursday, February 28, at 4.30pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Diabetes UK or Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide can be made through Hunnaball of Sudbury.
