Inquest into rail line death of chemistry student, 20

An inquest into the death of a 20-year-old man from Monks Eleigh will be held next month.

Andrew Towers, from Foysters Hall, was killed when he was struck by a train on the rail line close to Kings Farm in Bures on September 11.

Mr Towers was a student at Durham University and had been due to return for his third year studying chemistry.

He had a younger sister Jenni and lived with his parents Norman and Glenys while not in Durham. At the time of his death, he was described by friends as an enthusiastic sportsman with a great sense of humour.

The inquest will be held on September 26.
