AN AMBULANCE was called to a fast-food restaurant in Sudbury town centre – to deal with a drunk customer.
Emergency services were alerted by staff at Wimpy in East Street to a woman who appeared drunk at around 1.45pm on Tuesday.
Romana Hossova, who works at Wimpy, said: “The woman and her friend were drunk when they came in.
“One of them was slumped over on the table, passed out. That is when my manager called the police.”
The police were notified but did not attend, referring the incident to the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “A crew attended and took the woman to West Suffolk Hospital for observation purposes.”
