VAN drivers are being urged to keep their vehicles extra safe, following the theft of eleven catalytic converters recently.
Suffolk Police say converters have been stolen from a number of areas across the county, including in Great Waldingfield. There were also attempts to remove a converter in Clare.
The majority of vans targeted were Mercedes Sprinters, but Iveco Dailys were also affected.
Officers want van drivers to get their converters marked, keep vehicles in a garage or well-lit public place, or park in a way that makes it difficult for thieves to access the converter.
Using alarms, lighting and CCTV is also recommended.
Anyone with any information about the theft of catalytic converters should call Suffolk Police on 101.
