POLICE are appealing for information after a car was scratched all over – causing £2,000 worth of damage – following an argument outside a supermarket.
The damage occurred in Tesco’s car park in Springlands Way, Sudbury, between 7.25pm and 7.55pm on Tuesday, April 5.
A woman was driving a black Vauxhall Zafira along Springlands Way when she came up behind a silver Ford Ka driving very slowly. Both cars turned into the supermarket where the Ka stopped, blocking the road.
The man driving the Ka got out and shouted at the woman, stopping traffic from passing. Both cars then continued into the car park.
The woman did her shopping, but when she returned she found her car had been scratched all over.
Police want to speak to the Ka driver and anyone else who was in the car park at the time.
The man is described as white, in his early 40s, around 5ft 4in tall and with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue fleece and blue trousers.
Calls in relation to this incident should be made to Pc Chris Spraggons at Sudbury Police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
