Businesses targeted

TWO business in the Sudbury area were targeted by thieves in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Vandals smashed a large hole in the front window of a premises in Gainsborough Street between 1am and 8am.

Around £500 worth of damage was caused, but no entry was made and nothing was taken.

At 3.10am on the same morning raiders forced their way into a business on an industrial estate in Bull Lane, Acton.

Thieves caused around £2,000 worth of damage to a metal shutter before being disturbed and leaving.

Police have said they do not believe the incidents are linked but are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
