A TEENAGER from Halstead, who was arrested on suspicion of rape, has been released on police bail.
The 17-year-old boy was arrested after police were called by the ambulance service to Queen Street in Haverhill at midnight on Saturday.
Paramedics were treating an injured 23-year-old woman, who reported being raped in Murton Slade earlier in the evening.
A boy was later arrested on suspicion of rape and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
He was released on bail later that day and will return to the centre on February 29, 2012.
Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman between Murton Slade and Queen Street between 11pm on Friday and 12.05am the next morning.
