Sudbury boy dies in A14 crash

AN eight-year-old boy from Sudbury has died in hospital following a crash on Sunday.

Joel Depper, of Uplands Road, was taken to Addenbrooke’s hospital with life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash at junction 35 near Stow-cum-Quy at around 9am. He died later that day.

The driver of a maroon Mazda 2, a 41-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy, both from Sudbury, were also taken to Addenbrooke’s with minor injuries.

They were travelling in a maroon Mazda2 which left the road and collided with a tree.
