A SUSPECTED arson attack caused damage to a barn in Raydon, near Hadleigh, on Sunday.

Police were called by fire crews who battled the blaze from 8.45pm.

An extra crew was called, and the fire was eventually brought under control by 10pm.

A police spokeswoman said: “Fire crews had received a 999 call from a neighbour.

“The fire is being treated as suspicious – we do not know how it was started.”
