Attempted theft in Halstead

AN ATTEMPTED theft in Halstead is being investigated by Essex Police.

A man cut through a chain on gates in Factory Lane West and drove inside just after 5pm on January 21. He then attempted and failed to steal gas bottles, causing £20 of damage to the gates.

Anyone with information should contact Pc Debbie Coghill at Halstead police station on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
