Alleged burglar in court

Michael Hart, 48, from Meadow Close in Lavenham, appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Thursday on burglary and drug charges following a police sting.

He indicated a guilty plea to charges of burglary at a home in Belverdere Road in Ipswich on January 17 and possessing class A and class C drugs. Hart was arrested as part of Operation Drawbridge, Suffolk Police’s initiative aimed at reducing burglaries. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Ipswich Crown Court at a later date.
