27-year-old man on knife charge

A man has been charged with carrying a knife in Sudbury in the early hours of Sunday.

Ashley Sims, 27, from Abbots Gate in Bury St Edmunds, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and carrying an offensive weapon in North Street at around 12.10am.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Station and released on bail, to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on November 8.
