A SERIES of events leading up to a Sudbury festival will kick off tomorrow.
The “Road To LeeStock” comprises six weeks of gigs at venues across Sudbury and Long Melford. The annual music festival is held in memory of Sudbury musician Lee Dunford, who died in 2006, aged 21.
Tomorrow’s free event will see Sudbury band Never A Hero join Born Ready on stage at AFC Sudbury’s MEL Group Stadium from 7.30pm.
The Road To LeeStock then continues every Friday throughout May with the finale at the White Horse in Sudbury on Saturday, June 2 – the night before the festival.
The events will raise money for the Willow Foundation, to which LeeStock has donated nearly £30,000.
This year’s festival will be held on June 3 at AFC Sudbury’s MEL Group Stadium with the club’s own festival, Live & Kicking, taking place the next day. For tickets, visit www.leestock.org.
