Tree festival was a ‘wondrous’ success

Funds raised from Sudbury’s Christmas Tree Festival in St Peter’s topped £4,000.

Thousands of people visited the annual event – organised by the town’s two Rotary clubs – at the beginning of December.

“Once again, the festival was a wondrous success,” said organiser Sue Beven.

The money will be split between six charities, including Hillside Special School, Sudbury Newstalk and the Friends of St Peter.
