THANK YOU: Special wheelchair set to improve lives of those at town care home.

The combined efforts of care home staff, a Sudbury company and councillor will give elderly residents the chance to enjoy more trips out.

On Wednesday, Catchpole Court Care Home took delivery of a new wheelchair from TGA.

It was funded thanks to a £734 donation from the locality budget of county councillor John Sayers, and TGA, which set a discount.

Ann Roche, care home activities co-ordinator, said: “All the residents enjoy trips out and stimulation, but it can be difficult for those who don’t have a wheelchair. Now all the residents can join in outings.”
