FIRST ANNIVERSARY: New business holds its own in difficult times.

FIRST ANNIVERSARY: New business holds its own in difficult times.

Three friends who took the plunge and opened a coffee shop in Sudbury say their daring has been rewarded.

Kate Barnbrook, Marie Bernadine-Dann and Alastair Campbell opened The Coffee House in Gainsborough Street a year ago. They took over the premises after family greengrocers Watsons & Sons closed. At the weekend, they marked their first anniversary. “Our first year in business has been a successful one and we are very proud of what we have achieved,” said Mrs Barnbrook.
