Babergh has been named among the top 50 rural areas to live in the UK, according to a new survey.
The Halifax rural areas quality of life survey listed Babergh as the 41st best place to live, and the second best in Suffolk.
Jennie Jenkins, leader of Babergh District Council, said: “We are so pleased that our tiny rural district is getting the national accolades it deserves.
“Of course, I believe Babergh is an excellent place to live and work – now we want more people to come to see what we have to offer.”
The survey tracked living standards from a number of factors, including life expectancy, crime rate and weather. Uttlesford in Essex came top.
