A tree-planting day is to be held this weekend to improve the appearance of unused land in Sudbury.
Sudbury Town Council and Bats environmental group will be planting oak, maple and ash trees on ground between Bishops Close and Chantry Close near to Tesco.
Volunteers of all ages are being encouraged to take part in the day.
“Children will be able to plant the trees and watch them grow in their lifetime,” said deputy town clerk Jacqui Howells.
“It does not matter what age or how capable, there will be a job to do.”
The planting will begin at 10am on Sunday.
