A river bank that collapsed when a water company was carrying out work is to be repaired.

When a water pipe burst during work by Anglian Water in 2014, the force of the flood caused a portion of the bank of the River Colne by Nether Court, Halstead, to collapse.

The Environment Agency has now given Anglian Water, which admitted liability, consent to carry out remedial works, which the firm hopes will be complete by March.

Until that time, the area will be cordoned off.
