A lucky child will get to switch on Sudbury’s Christmas lights as part of Sudbury mayor Robert Spivey’s Christmas card competition.
Primary school children from Sudbury and the surrounding area have until Wednesday, November 5, to enter their design, with the winner switching on the lights and seeing their design become the official mayoral card for 2014.
Judges will pick a winner, two runners up and highly commended entrants.
The prize-winners will then attend a presentation event at the Delphi Centre on November 18, with parents and teachers also invited.
First place will also receive a framed picture of their design, which will be sent to dignitaries, including the Queen, and will watch the card being printed before the big switch-on.
