Children play it by the book to meet the challenge

A library challenge to read six books during the summer holidays was completed by 129 Hadleigh children this year.

The children were presented with their certificates and medals by district councillor Kathryn Grandon at a ceremony at the library on Saturday.

The Summer Reading Challenge is run in libraries across the UK and, this year, in Suffolk more than 8,000 children took part in the event with a Roald Dahl-inspired theme.
