A Sudbury chef is preparing himself for a trip of a lifetime when he will put his culinary skills to the test during a curry festival in India.

Anwar Hossein, head chef at the Navaa Fine Fusion restaurant in Church Street, will be taking part in the Taste of Britain Curry Festival in Hyderabad from June 12 to 21.

The foodathon is expected to attract hundreds of diners and Mr Hossein is relishing the prospect of serving up dishes at the home of curry.

“I love cooking and it is always nice to get public recognition for my food,” he said

“It is really a team effort from the whole restaurant and I will take that spirit with me.

“We have our own nuances and flavours in the UK and I am planning on cooking up a real treat along with a couple of signature dishes.”
