A football match is to be held in Hadleigh to raise money for a support dog for a 11-year-old boy who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome.

Gavin Brightwell has organised a charity match at Hadleigh United Football Club on Sunday to raise funds to get Morgan Smith an autism support dog to help rebuild his confidence.

Mr Brightwell said: “As we do not live in the right place we have to raise the funds ourselves.

“It will cost £ 6,000 for the dog to cover the training the dog will receive, which will be tailored to suit his particular needs.

As well as being a new friend, the dog will be able to recognise Morgan’s anxiety and bring him away from the situation.

The match starts at 10.30am. To donate to the fund visit http://gofundme.com/swfusc.
