A 21-year-old charity worker with Asperger syndrome has raised more than £1,000 after completing his challenge to travel from Land’s End to John O’Groats almost entirely by buses.

Before Christmas, Patrick Munford, from Great Cornard, completed his solo trip of almost 900 miles in aid of Sudbury Go Start community transport.

Undertaking this journey was Patrick’s way of repaying the faith shown in him by Go Start when he began volunteering. Patrick said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who sponsored me, as well as the companies who backed my trip.”
