FILM buffs and rail enthusiasts are in for a treat with a screening of the classic film Brief Encounter at Chappel and Wakes Colne station.
A classic with a transport theme, the film is being screened in the old engine shed at Chappel station tomorrow (July 29) at 8.30pm.
The film focuses on a cafe at a railway station, where housewife Laura Jesson (Celia Johnson) meets doctor Alec Harvey (Trevor Howard).
Both are married but they meet once a week and fall in love with each other, although they know their love is impossible.
Tickets are £4.50 and are available from the East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel Station, Marks Tey station or on the door on the night.
