A group of dancing charity fundraisers are celebrating another success after raising £3,500 during their annual 60s-style dance event.

Recreating the popular car park dance held in Sudbury’s North Street car park in the 1960s, the organisers of the modern equivalent were delighted with the funds raised.

The event was restarted five years ago and takes place at Delphi Social Club.

The plan is to use the money raised to support youngsters in the town.

Neil Taylor, the governor of the committee, said costs to hire the hall from the council meant that the total raised was not as high as it could be.
