The sky is the limit for Sue

A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: Sue Youngs, who has never flown before, will attempt to compete a tandem skydive next month.

MOST first-time flyers tackle their nerves with soothing music, a good book or even a stiff drink.

But one Great Cornard woman’s first time will be a slightly more thrilling experience.

Sue Youngs, from Raydon Way, will be throwing herself from a plane at 15,000 feet during her very first flight to raise money for charity.

“I have never flown in my life,” said Sue. “I am nervous and excited at the same time, as it will be a really big challenge for me.”

She will tackle the tandem jump, which will see her strapped to an experienced skydive instructor at Beccles Airfield on August 25, in aid of Priory School in Bury St Edmunds and The Make A Wish Foundation.

“The Priory has been brilliant for my son Bradley, who has been there for around five years and has learning difficulties,” said Sue.

“The Make A Wish Foundation is something I feel strongly about as well, so I want to raise as much as I can.”

Sue has lost around seven stone in just under a year after starting training with Ballingdon fitness trainer Paul Warner.

“It has enabled me to do things like this skydive,” she said.
