A Sudbury man has completed an ambitious challenge by taking part in a marathon of mountaineering, kayaking and skydiving.

Joe Beggs, from Sudbury, has successfully completed his five-day adventure, which involved climbing the three highest peaks in Britain in under 24 hours, kayaking from Sudbury to the Cattawade barrier in under a day, and completing a solo skydive.

During the daring jump, Mr Beggs lost control but fortunately recovered.

The 27-year-old, who has so far raised £1,899 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, admitted completing the Three Peaks was “agony” but said it had been an amazing week.
