The Co-operative Food store in Clare has reopened following a £350,000 makeover.

The shop on Market Hill, which had been closed for a number of months while work was carried out, welcomed back customers for the first time last week.

A wider range of products have been made available at the store and the refurbishment has seen a new layout introduced.

The bakery, wine and Fairtrade sections have all been extended.

Anthony Measham, shop manager, said: “Clare residents are passionate about their food and our new-look store reflects this.”
