A nightclub in Sudbury has been closed for one week for a string of breaches of its licence, including selling alcohol to children.

Easterns Station Lounge, in Great Eastern Road, was caught serving alcohol to four volunteers aged between 15 and 17 in a police, trading standards and Babergh District Council sting last year.

A licensing sub-committee suspended owner David Pratt’s premises licence for two months in December, after hearing accusations from former staff that reality television stars had flashed their genitals at customers on the same night, but he appealed the decision.

Following the long-awaited appeal hearing, district judge Celia Dawson upheld the decision, based on concerns over staff training, underage drinking and Mr Pratt’s management, but reduced the suspension to one week.
