Sudbury chip shop’s expansion plans to be decided

Plans to expand The Codfather fish and chip shop in King Street, Sudbury, are due to go before Babergh District Council’s development committee on January 23.

Owner Yunus Aslan has applied to change the use of neighbouring florist’s Passion Flower.

The move would see the florist become a seating area for an additional 60 to 80 customers, providing up to eight jobs and allowing the restaurant to expand its menu.

Any expansion is dependent on an agreement being reached between Mr Aslan and the building’s landlord, as well as Passion Flower owner Karri–Anne Stone deciding to relocating her business.
