The owner of a new women’s clothing shop in Sudbury is hoping she can be an example for new businesses in the town to follow.

Corinna Green, from Edwardstone, held an official opening for Nanook in Friars Street yesterday evening, with deputy mayor Adrian Osborne present, having started operating around a month ago.

Mrs Green, who was born in Hamburg in Germany and previously worked in advertising before opening the shop, said she would be selling clothing priced between £49 and £250.

“I have had such a warm welcome from the retailers in Sudbury and I really hope that with this opening we can inject a positive mood and that other shops will be attracted to fill the empty spaces,” she said.
