Visitors to the Silkworm in Sudbury were left disappointed earlier this week after finding the pub closed.
The East Street pub was forced to shut its doors to customers on Sunday afternoon due to a “maintenance issue”.
Owners the Stonegate Pub Company called in contractors to fix the problem, which was believed to involve the drainage system.
Workers were at the pub on Sunday evening and throughout Monday and Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for the Silkworm said: “The Silkworm closed on Sunday afternoon following a maintenance issue.
“We worked with our contractors in order to get the pub open as soon as we could.”
The pub reopened to customers on Wednesday. No further issues have been reported.
