A new range of sauces produced by a family-run business in Hadleigh have been launched at East of England Co-operative stores.

Six sauces from the Great British Sauce Company – produced by Keejays, which is based in Crockatt Road –have gone on sale at selected stores.

The range comprises traditional classics, such as tomato and brown, alongside new flavours, such as tomato and habanero chilli sauce.

Kevin Warden, local sourcing manager for the East of England Co-op, said: “These sauces bring something very new to our Sourced Locally range – with great new flavours that we are sure our customers will love.

“We are pleased to offer our customers an ever-growing choice of great tasting local products which, at the same time, support local businesses and gives the local economy a boost.”

Keejays has been producing speciality sauces and pastes in Hadleigh for more than 25 years.

Great British Sauce Company co-founder Jason Beaumont said great care had been taken to maintain homemade quality in all its sauces.

“We have entrusted Keejays to produce the range,” he said.

“Their experience and mastery in sauce production has been the key to achieving such outstanding quality.”
