MANY companies have been forced to close or down size as a result of the current economic conditions, but a Sudbury manufacturer is bucking the trend.
DaRo UV Systems, part of the DaRo group, which makes water decontamination equipment and operates in Church Field Road, is celebrating after receiving its largest ever order worth £500,000.
The firm has struck a deal with a governmental department to supply 12 ultra violet (UV) decontamination systems which will provide filtration for effluent and clean water plants.
The deal continues a successful period for the company, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010 with its best ever trading year, turning over £3.4million.
It has also recently been awarded full accreditation from the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) for its UV water purifying equipment.
Julian Cant, the company’s general manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this contract, which is our biggest ever single order.
“This development continues our trend of year on year success, even through the recession.”
