Bus station users hit out at toilets

SUDBURY bus station users have called for drastic improvements to be made to the toilets.

Passengers waiting for services last week claimed the state of the toilets was the worst aspect of the bus station, which has been criticised in the past as plans to develop the Hamilton Road quarter have repeatedly stalled.

Alan Hornsey, 30, from Great Cornard, thought the council should resort to demolition.

He said: “The toilets either need a good clean or the council need to knock them down and rebuild them.”

Mr Hornsey also found the lack of shelters an irritation.

“It would be nice if there was another shelter for people getting the bus to Colchester to use so we don’t get caught in the rain,” he added. “To be frank, it’s ridiculous there isn’t another one.”

Great Cornard student Laura Hill, 18, pictured left, said: “The shelters need to be improved as there’s definitely not enough places to sit. More shelters would be a real benefit.”
