A clinic to help people with respiratory problems is being opened at Walnuttree Hospital in Sudbury.

West Suffolk Hospital has launched a respiratory physiotherapy outreach clinic on the second and fourth Friday of every month, starting tomorrow.

Helen Stewart, a physiotherapist, said: “This clinic will reduce the distance patients need to travel.

“Our team can help with a wide range of respiratory problems, such as recurrent chest infections, asthma or hyperventilation.

“We will assess each patient who is referred to us and will work with them to agree personal goals for their therapy.

“Our main aim is to educate patients so they can learn to self-manage their condition more effectively.”

Prospective patients should talk to their GP.
