Community wardens say they are doing all they can to catch a pet owner who regularly fails to clear away their animal’s mess from a Sudbury pavement.

Businesses in Friars Street are continually having to deal with dog excrement being walked into their premises, and believe one individual may be to blame.

Community warden Bradley Smith said the mess was usually left early in the morning and he received regular complaints from The Bed Room and Somerville.

“We are determined to catch the culprit and someone must know who is doing it,” he said. “Anyone who witnesses this should let us know.”

Wardens have the power to fine people up to £1,000 for not clearing up after their pets.
