Wickham St. Paul, is celebrating the anniversary of The Battle of Trafalgar on Saturday with a firework display and barbecue.

On Saturday a firework display will take place on the village green which will replicate the firing of the British Naval guns against the Spanish and French fleets.

There will also be a barbecue at the Victory Inn, named after Lord Nelson’s flag ship.

The Victory Inn has also organised live music.

On the Village Green, the Red Ensign, H.M. Naval flag of that time, will be flown, alongside Nelson’s signal flags: ‘England expects that every man will do his duty’.

The event is free, with the firework display starting at 7.30pm.
