Staff at Sudbury-based mobility scooter specialist TGA are jubilant after winning a prestigious award.

The organisation, based at the Woodhill Business Park, won the coveted Customer Service Team of the Year Award at the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) annual awards dinner held in London.

Winning this award is the perfect end to another successful year for us.

TGA has now achieved the customer service award twice in a just a few years and it follows success last year when its scooter puncture sealant won the BHTA Independent Living Product category.

It won its latest honour by receiving the largest number of customer satisfaction nominations from the public who highlighted to judges the superb service they had received.

Thirty members of TGA staff, from a range of departments, were specifically mentioned for their diligence and pro-active attitude.

Daniel Stone, TGA managing director, said: “We were delighted to receive our third BHTA award in recent years, they have all filled us with great pride.

“Winning the Team of the Year Award again shows our continued commitment to providing a better quality of life for people living with mobility difficulties.”

Mr Stone added: “Winning this award is the perfect end to another successful year for us.”

The BHTA is the UK’s largest healthcare association.
