Police are appealing for witnesses after a theft from a photography studio in Sudbury last week.

Police need to trace a man after cash was stolen from a till in North Street Studios in North Street.

The man went into the business at around 2.20pm on Thursday, asking if he could purchase a picture frame.

The member of staff went to find the item but, as he returned, he heard the till drawer slam shut.

It was discovered that a quantity of cash had been taken from the till, with the man thought to have fled, running down King Street.

The thief is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall, in his late 20s to 30s, of slim build and with short dark curly hair.

He was wearing a light cream jacket or hooded top and dark jeans. He smelled of alcohol and tobacco.

Anyone with information should call Pc Dean Bailey at Suffolk Police on 101, quoting crime number SU/15/528.
