Halstead once again walked away with the overall title of Anglia in Bloom, but there was also joy for Sudbury which achieved a gold award.
Halstead impressed judges so much with its displays that it was awarded the gold standard, best town, best overall entry and named as the winner of the Anglia in Bloom trophy.
Meanwhile, Sudbury ended a decade of waiting by receiving the gold award in the town category.
Bob Ollier, chairman of Anglia in Bloom, said: “With 25 competitive gold awards this year, the competition was very close, but Halstead again just headed off several entrants who are now knocking on their door for the prestigious title of best overall entry.”
Halstead also won the top award last year.
